I am not a fan of the Oscars but since its a big event in Hollywood, and my husband featured it on his blog, i decided to post the results here.. So sad i heard that The Oscars 2008 got the lowest ratings in its history.. way below last year's ratings. They say that a big factor was featuring smaller and unknown films..
To quote The Associated Press:
"The Oscars are a ratings dud. Nielsen Media Research says preliminary ratings for the 80th annual Academy Awards telecast are 14 percent lower than the least-watched ceremony ever.
Nielsen said Monday that overnight ratings are also 21 percent lower than last year, when "The Departed" was named best picture."
Hmmmm what do you think guyz???Well, here are the winners for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress:
Best Picture: "No Country for Old Men"
Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis for "There will be blood"
Best Actress: Marion Cotillard for "La Vie En Rose"
