Yes Magazine 9th-Anniversary issue has already released and the Top 50 Most Powerful In Showbiz are also in this issue. I already have the magazine and actually I'm just halfway reading it and according to them they came up with three specific criteria.

Ownership of the instituitions that produce ertertaiment or allow it to thrive. Do they own television networks, films outfits, or production companies? How influential are the institutions themselves.

Administrative authority within those media institutions and the scope and range of their responsibilities. How highly placed are the players in those networks, film outfits, and production companies? What are the dynamics within those institutions?

The immediacy of their contribution to the entertainment we enjoy. How hands-on are they in the conceptualization and execution of the show we tune in to every night, the movie whose tickets we buy, the music we listen to?
