New 100-peso bill, released!

In commemoration of the centennial year of University of the Philippines, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas finally issued ten million (10,000,000) pieces of 100-peso bill with the Oblation overprint. During the launch, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco, Jr. handed the sample of the new 100-peso bills to UP President Emerlinda Roman. According to UP President Emerlinda Roman, University of the Philippines also releases a commemorative folder including 4 pieces of the new banknote. All alumnus of the university can purchase it for P1,000 each. The proceeds of the said project will go to the projects sponsored by the University!
